1973 Schwinn Continental- FOR SALE

A work in progress, a free bike I picked up. Similar to the '75 I already had the long-term plan is to convert this to a 1x drive-train with a 46t chaining leftover from another bike, swap around some extra free-wheels I have and use it for cyclocross/gravel/semi-off road stuff. This will leave the '75 available for complete conversion to a commuter bike.

Current bike details:
Frame- 21" size Schwinn "Electro-formed" 10/10 Steel frame, Opaque Blue paint
Fork- Schwinn tubular steel
Crank- Schwinn 1-piece "Astabula" chromed steel crank, Schwinn 39/52 chain rings
Derailleurs- Schwinn approved front, Schwinn approved rear (Huret Alvit with cover)
Freewheel- Schwinn Approved F2 (Malliard, French made) 5-speed freewheel range 14-17-20-24-28
Wheels- Schwinn approved 27" steel rims with high-flange aluminum hubs, quick release skewers.
Tires- 27" gumwalls, pretty much rotted out.
Saddle- Schwinn "comfort" saddle

 Update 08/16/2018

Started work on the '73, mounted some Panaracer Gravelking SK in 700x35mm tires to some old Saturne HC-19 rims I had laying around, currently putting new cables and housing on.
