1967 Schwinn Collegiate- FOR SALE

When I got it it was covered in 20+ years of dust and grime
A quick frame cleaning, new brake pads, cables, cable housing and tubes its a fun ride and something different compared to the drop-bar bikes I have.
The Collegiate is a 26" wheel bike, and and odd Schwinn only size so without swapping to new rims you're limited to a single type of tire made by Kenda available in black or gumwall sides. Coming from 10+ speed bikes to a 5-speed was an interesting jump, this isn't a bike that will really go fast but once you get up to cruising speed it's a fun ride. The upright bars and frame geometry make it easy to see and look around. After a complete overhaul this may become my commuter.
